Life Losses

Loss is an epidemic in today's world. Generally, loss is associated with a physical death. While death is a significant loss, it remains only one of the ways in which we can experience the profound journey of grief. Divorce and separation, trauma, chronic illness (e.g. Alzheimer disease) and even the downward spiral of the world economy are common loss experiences in this century. All are a source of heartbreak and grief and if left unresolved can have profound and lingering effects, such as depression, relationship breakdown, substance abuse and even disease. Although the frequency in which these events occur have become commonplace the anguish that emerges as a result is daunting and cannot be cast aside. There is no way around the pain and sorrow - one can only go through it to get to the other side.

  • Is your heart broken?

  • Do you feel as though you are "grieving the wrong way?"

  • Do others think that you should be "over" your loss by now?

  • Are you afraid to face the future without your loved one?

  • Are your tears and sorrow holding you back from planning the future?

  • Were your dreams shattered because of a loved one's death?

  • Are you searching for answers and trying to make meaning out of what has happened in your life?

  • Are you ready to move forward in life, but have no idea where to begin?

Janelle Breese Biagioni, RPC believes that when people are ready to do the work if they are provided with support and safe place to do the work, they will. Survival does become a choice; however, when we offer people a sense of hope and heartfelt encouragement and support, making that choice for oneself becomes easy.

Here at lifelosses.com, it is Janelle's sincere intention that you find the hope you need to do the work you need to do so that you can once again, embrace life and start living again.
